Always Remembered, Never Forgotten

SHOULD I FALL

My closest friends walk with me. Uniforms so neatly pressed. Their cadence is slow and in step. With their hands they lift me high. Strong men firm in their gentle stride. Tell my brothers I love them all. Do not cry should I fall. The bond between us shall never fade. A friendship born thru our age. A closer family could never be. Tell my brothers I love them all. Do not cry should I fall. It did not matter how it came. Smoke and fire or disease. From this bed its still the same. We knew the risk from the start. Being a firefighter is in our heart. Tell my brothers I love them all. Do not cry should I fall. I have moved now to a hallowed ground. Others fallen gather around. The sound of bagpipes fade away. The memory of my family will always stay. My wife my kids who cherished me. Tell my brothers I love them all. Do not cry should I fall.

Morton Fire Company is the first member of Monroe County, New York's Second Battalion. The company has been serving the residence and business of the Hamlet of Morton and surrounding areas for over 75 years. The company provides firefighting as well as medical responses.
